This is a beautiful Bible. And just beautiful as a book leather bound and with thoughtful touches that make it a pleasure to use and perfect for preaching or teaching. This is a bible meant to be used; a working Bible. First the leather cover and very nice and giftable are features that would make any book feel important and lend a feel of reverence to this bible. The weight of the paper and quality finish also reinforce the sense of a quality printing. For use in the pulpit the typeface is sized well for up to arm's length reading. The blue headings use color effectively to lead the eye and make it easier to locate a particular verse or phrase. The typeface is well chosen easy reading for less than perfect eyes and verse based organization also helps make this Bible an asset when leading a congregation or bible class. There are 3 bookmark ribbons which are great to quickly jump from one verse/passage to another. I am very impressed by this King James Version bible and how it has been optimized for use preaching and teaching. The quality and construction is impeccable: this is a working bible made to be used and to last. With such a positive impression this is clearly a 5 star Bible to me. Perfect to preach and teach.

The Thomas Nelson Preaching Bible is simply stunning. It isn’t the leather cover or the gold edging for the pages. What I really like about the Bible is the clear, dark font that is used. Verse numbers and section titles are in a nice blue color and the rest of the text is in black. The Thomas Nelson Font is easy on the eyes and because the page is white and thick, the text stands out and so I don’t need to wear my glasses. I still try to use my study Bible as well, but the light times new roman font is so difficult to read. Then turning to the Thomas Nelson Bible is like night and day with my old Bible. The Thomas Nelson Preaching Bible comes in a cardboard box which makes it nice for gift giving. The Bible itself has three ribbon bookmarks. The leather cover has a mild leather scent if you put your nose right up to it. I am very pleased to have this Bible on my desk and I wouldn't hesitate to give it as a gift.
